Project Description

We will be making a Social Networking site. It will have all the basic functionality of a regular social networking site like friends, mailing, pictures and comments. The site will be based around setting and achieving goals. Users will be able to log on and write about their goals. The users will also be able to add friends to their page. We are doing friends different than other social networking sites. The way it works is you can add someone as your friend, but this does not add you as a friend on their page. This way you can have links to anyone's page you choose, but they don't have to have a link back to your page if they don't want. The email system will work like the one on Facebook; it will be very simple. Since the goals are the priority of the site, there will not be a lot of focus on pictures. People can still upload pictures, but there will not be a special picture page. You can only view a persons pictures from their main profile page. There will also be a "Top Rated Goals" section where people can view the top rated goals. The way you rate a goal is by going to someones page and clicking to rate it. You will only be able to rate a goal once, but you can rate as many goals as you want. For a more detailed description of certain aspects, please view the Plan document.
